Rates and Packages
At Golfo Dulce Retreat our aim is to offer an authentic experience, one where you will be able to enjoy wild untamed nature away from the crowds and the protocols. You can choose to book your accommodation only (the “Cabin & Meals” rate which includes all meals and boat transfers to the lodge as described below) or alternatively you can select one of our fantastic packages which also include a selection of our favourite activities both at sea and on land. Our packages offer great value for money and also include some activities that are not available for individual purchase.

CABIN & MEALS
The CABIN & MEALS rate is ideal if you are unsure which excursion or activity you would like to do and you’d rather decide once you are here at the Retreat. The rate includes accommodation, transportation to and from the Retreat as well as all meals. Due to the remoteness of our ecolodge we require a three-night minimum stay.
A daily housekeeping service is included in our all our rates and all Cabinas enjoy their own private bathroom and outdoor hot shower. We will provide you with a range of cotton linens including beautifully soft hammam Turkish towels, bath towels and bed sheets made with 100% long-staple, combed cotton certified free from harmful chemicals. All our bath and body products are made in Costa Rica by Aromas with the finest organic coconut oil and essential oils. We will also provide you with aromatic Indian incense sticks, portable lights and umbrellas.
Please note that all alcoholic beverages, as well as mixed fruit juices and espressos or cappuccinos are extras. We are also proud to offer various guided boat and rainforest adventure excursions which will be charged separately.
RAINFOREST & OCEAN
Our RAINFOREST & OCEAN package is available for stays of four nights or longer. The package includes some of the best ocean and rainforest adventures Golfo Dulce has to offer. These activities are suitable for all ages and most levels of fitness. We have carefully picked them on the advice of our friends and family who have fallen in love with these amazing surroundings.
FAMILY ADVENTURE
Our FAMILY ADVENTURE package is available for stays of four nights or longer. The packages makes an ideal choice when travelling with children of all ages. We have selected some of the best family-oriented experiences Golfo Dulce has to offer both on land and at sea. We know this because our kids absolutely love them! During your time with us, we will share our experience of living sustainably in our challenging environment, teach you some of the secrets of rainforest survival and plant an indigenous tree to help our conservation efforts.
For larger families we recommend choosing the Master Cabina Suite which can be configured with two separate bedrooms and features its own private plunge pool.
ROMANTIC RETREAT
Our ROMANTIC RETREAT package is available for stays of four nights or longer . The packages is the ideal choice for honeymoon couples or those that simply want to enjoy the ultimate romantic getaway in an exotic and wild setting. We have put together the perfect combination of rainforest and ocean adventures and romantic moments.
We highly recommend choosing our Master Cabina Suite with private plunge pool to make your experience truly memorable.
ULTIMATE ADVENTURE
The ULTIMATE ADVENTURE package is the perfect choice for wildlife enthusiasts seeking an authentic and inspirational adventure in our secluded corner of the world. The package includes scenic return flights from Costa Rica’s capital, San Jose, to Golfito, arrival at the Retreat by trekking through primary rainforest and several other unique excursions during your stay. This package, which also includes all meals, is available between mid December and April and can be purchased in conjunction with our two beautiful Suites.
Following a spectacular 45 minute flight along Costa Rica’s magnificent Pacific Coast, we will be picking you up at Golfito’s landing strip at 6:45am. After a short drive to the rainforest village of La Gamba and while we take care of your luggage, your real adventure begins. Together with our trusted guide, you will be trekking all the way to our Retreat across Piedras Blancas National Park’s stunning primary rainforests. You will be walking along a route originally followed by indigenous populations; on the way, expect to encounter some magnificent trees including the Park’s largest Ceiba tree. This challenging hike can take up to 6 or 7 hours and can be strenuous in various parts. Your reward will be arriving at Playa San Josecito, our spectacular, wild beach where a cold welcome drink and delicious home-made lunch will be waiting for you.
Your stay will also include an excursion by boat and kayak deep into Rio Esquinas’ magical Mangroves, an additional trek to our waterfall where you will also learn about indigenous rainforest survival skills, an artisanal fishing trip where you will have a chance to catch your own meal and a longer night tour where you will go in search of larger mammals and caimans. At the end of your stay, we will take you back to Golfito by boat, across Golfo Dulce’s turquoise waters, in time to catch your flight back to San Jose. All meals are included in this package as well as a private candle-lit dinner on our raised restaurant deck.
